The Nine Mile Run Source to Mouth Imaging project was undertaken by UpstreamPGH and CivicMapper to use drone video and 360 cameras for capturing imagery and video of Nine Mile Run in high resolution and in high detail. The goal of this effort is to create a digital record of the stream throughout the watershed and through multiple seasons, with the video and imagery serving as a reference for detecting change and to monitor stream restoration efforts.
The drone video was also used on the UpstreamPGH website and in other outreach and marketing efforts. The video footage can also be viewed on Survae.
